Am I the right fit for you?
Over the past 19 years in practice I have heard many concerns and questions about Chiropractic that were left unanswered.
Here are some common questions that I hope demystify who and what
we do as well as finding the right practitioner that fits your needs.
Why do my bones crack?
Chiropractors don’t ‘crack’ bones we release the pressure in the joint space to allow that joint to move freely within its range.
Do I have to get my joints adjusted?
NO! Chiropractors don’t just perform adjustments; we address conditions that involve the muscular, nervous and skeletal systems. Your comfort level is very important. Your practitioner can address your condition and give you options on what can be done. There are many alternate ways to treat a condition, and that option should be available if your practitioner performs that therapy, if not, a referral to someone who can address your needs should be recommended.
Why are your treatments so long compared to my old Chiropractor?
I like to treat how I would like to be treated. I feel that the time we have together allows me an opportunity to listen and address your current concerns while ALSO giving you a treatment. When you are in acute pain you generally need more time to move and things may have to go a bit slower, as your condition improves you don’t need that extra time.
I incorporate a lot of soft tissue in my treatment plan. Joints and muscles have such an intimate relationship that when I address both I find the outcome measures are more successful. Treatment on the muscles take longer than joint manipulation.
Why do I always have to come back to get adjusted?
You don’t. The frequency of your treatment will depend on your condition. This is done on an individual basis and your response to treatment. As your body changes and adapts, so should your treatment plan and that is determined by addressing your concern(s) EVERY visit. As your treatment goals are reached, you have the choice on how to maintain that. It could be through self care and a comprehensive stretching and strengthening exercise program and/or a maintenance passive care with your practitioner.
You are committing to yourself. I am here to support you in your health journey!

Myofascial Technique
A myofascial trigger point is a hyperirritable spot, usually within a taut band of skeletal muscle, which is painful on compression and can give rise to characteristic referred pain, motor dysfunction, and autonomic phenomena
Testimonials
By far the best Chiropractor I've ever seen and wouldn't trust my treatment to anyone else. Ive been a client for 5+ years. She recently left a Toronto practice to branch out on her own. She focuses on full body and treats the soft tissue as well - actually treating the root cause of the problem rather than just cracking it and sending me on my way. Clean, home based, experienced and lovely -recommend her to anyone

LoAn was amazing! She really got to the root of my elbow pain, and worked it out. It was painful, but WOW - feel like a new person! She's incredible at what she does!

LoAn has been amazing to work with! I have some personal accomplishments I want to achieve this year and she has been transparent and realistic about what I can do with her assistance to succeed. She is extremely knowledgeable and makes sure you understand what is being done before, during and after your treatment. Punctual, friendly and always wants to know that what’s been done is working and is willing to change it to suit your needs and comfort level. Wish I could give her 10 stars instead of 5! Highly recommend her services!
